Sitting in MSP airport waiting to board. Heading to flagstaff after we get the rental car. Then Grand Canyon tomorrow morning. Thought it was supposed to be hot there? Looks to be colder than Cincy there this weekend. Looking forward to it anyways. Lot of driving ahead of me.

Gonna be cool this weekend.
Especially that far north.

Enjoy

Just the Grand Canyon or further? GC isn't that impressive compared to other nearby sites.

Would like to get up to monument valley but it's a lot of driving. Any suggestions?

Enjoy ! Going to be 63 here over the weekend.
On the TV here in flagstaff, they said somewhere 'in the valley' was going to be in the 70s and 80s? No clue where that is. Snow on the ground when we arrived in flagstaff.

Moki Dugway is a place to consider, very nice drive.

The "Valley" is the Phoenix area. The "Valley of the Sun" Flagstaff and much of Northern AZ are at a much higher elevation therefore colder and snowier. Flagstaff is just over 7000 ft. You can ski in Flagstaff and then drive down to Phoenix and golf the same day.

I think we just figured that out. Lol. Wife was looking at her weather app at breakfast. We are staying at Little America, I highly recommend it. It's the BEST hotel mattress I've ever slept on.
So far having fun and I love looking at landscape and scenery, AZ has that by the bucketfulls. I'll post pics and such as I get time.
Thanks to all for the suggestions and comments.

Little America is a great place! We hosted a family reunion there a few years ago.

Flagstaff is the nosebleed section (10,000'+) and the "Valley" is down in the PHX area (Lowlands)... :bananadance:
