Wonderful analogy! I agree. thanks. I am going to put my second 4x4 Ford F 150 up for sale and see if I can raise some cash for parts. I will keep you posted here. Thanks.

Ghost IMHO you're listening too much to the "racing" thing. Nothing wrong with that way but it's not good for the street. Ur in Vermont, I'd keep the heated intake manifold, gotta drive in cold weather at times, right? Don't go too far from stock and you'll be more happy and still have some power. Change here&others and everything starts adding up. Need more header, converter, gears, carb etc . Don't go crazy for the street or you'll regret it.

LOL- no; not real good throttle response on street,, unless you have a diff. converter, gears, etc; see it's starting to snowball already! 1000cfm quickfuel sounds badass, but for you&me? Nope.

I'm remembering he said a pair of 600's(?). But I also remember stock converter. Ghost I went both ways with mine way back when; when I raced that's all my car did& set up accordingly. It would not have been any fun at all on the street(although it would've sounded real good!)

The tunnel ram is not a good plan. I'm a single plane guy. Single plane with a small 650 or 700 carb will work well on the street. I'm also a Holley guy. My experience with the Carter/Edebrock style was not good. Iron heads will work good too. I made at least 600 Hp with both 906 and 915 heads that I ported myself.
