i am about to paint the inside of my doors on my 70 RR. Color scheme is orange car and black interior. My question is where does the outside color end and the inside black start. From photos it looks like the door seal rubber is the line to use. Above the door card is black, below the door card is black , but does the black roll under the door to the rubber.
Input and pics please.

I have always had the black door interior paint start at the middle of the weatherstrip line. just me,i could be wrong.

Agree with jburt above ^^^. I have always used the centre of the rubber weatherstripping also a the cut-off line - all the way around the door. When the door is shut, you can only see black inside the car.

Thanks for the help fellers, got the doors painted today following your advice.

Next question is how glossy is the black ?

I'm not entirely sure what is factory correct, but my doors are glossy black. As they are always seen and rubbed up against, they last longer that way.
The dash top is satin black (matted off) and my hood stripes are finished in AAA Matt black.

I was hoping it would be glossy. That can be next weeks task.
I painted the dash couple of weeks ago using a satin black.
