Hey Guys.

1. Does the trunk jute go between the back seat & the divider board or do you see the jute from inside the trunk?

2. For the wiring around the 3 speed wiper motor in the FSM they had a picture of a heater hose tie strap under the motor, was this factory correct?

1. Jute between board and seat....I have never seen jute in a original car btw

2. Can you provide a picture but I have never seen that....

Hey Justin. Thanks for the info, what about under the package tray? Mega Parts sells it so I'm assuming it was a stock item.

Here's the picture from Section 8: (LOL!) 8-78

Package trays had jute...not thick like the ones available now... originally was about 1/4 thick....buried in my thread shows the original type...

If I am not mistaken that clip...is a plastic clip wrapped into the harness...

Thanks for the info! Any input on that clip you can find is greatly appreciated as I'm striking out finding that clip as mine is missing. Where did you get your jute, Mega Parts?

My Jute? That's original....you cannot buy it....all repro jute is the same

No idea on the clip either rob another harness or call evans wiring.....

I think your pointing to the ground strap that goes from the motor housing plate to the attaching bolt for the firewall. The wiper motor uses rubber bushings for quiet operation, and needs a ground strap for the motor to work correctly. I think it was just a piece of stamped brass. You could get brass strips from a hardware store, and trim to suit your needs.

Thanks for the input. This is the brass strap.

Okay. I guess what you asked was the strap to the right of the motor. I don't recall seeing it like that before, but anything is possible. I think they used plastic clips held on with the wire wrap, not necessarily the aluminum tie strap.

Thanks Guys! On another note what wires got the cloth wire tape vs electric tape?
