I’m having an issue with my power steering box leaking copious amount Of fluid (1971 383->440 swap Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus)
So my question is does anybody know if a 70 a body power steering box would fit in place of a b-body steering box. Anything would help trying to find a cheaper option than spending the 600 plus on a new pump. Thank you.

It should.

If you have to put a reman box in, Redhead out of Wash., Steer and Gear out of Ohio? are prime, CORRECTLY redone units. Stay far, far away from parts store or online places for a reman. If you want to update to a Borgeson unit, look no further than Bergman Auto Craft, Peter. One of our forum sponsors. He may not be the cheapest way on that, but you'll get ALL of the pieces needed for the swap. Well documented upgrade, search the forums here for more input.

Is it the steering box or the pump that's leaking - you talk about both?

Why not replace the seals?

As above... there are only input shaft and output shaft seals and both can be changed IN the car. Probably an O ring under the spool block on top as well, but generally not a leak spot.

Sorry about that I meant the 600 plus on a new box. it is leaking on the input shaft I have already replaced the seals. The leak stopped for a while but came back about a month later much much worse.

Hey, I'm selling my large sector power steering gear box from my 1973 Dodge Challenger for $125. I'm also selling the pitman arm which is the original that came with the car for $70, but maybe you can find a repop for cheaper. The large sector box that came out in 1973 was so strong that Chrysler used it in their vehicles until 1995. This one was made in either 1980 or 1990 and was recently rebuilt by Cardone. The gears are nice and tight with zero play.

I think I have the smaller 1 1/8. Do you happen to know if they are easily interchangeable. If so I see your in lakeport that’s a short(2hr) drive away from me

Yes, your car was born with the small sector shaft. My gearbox will bolt right up to your K-Frame (I'm selling the OEM mounting bolts separately) and it will require using the larger sector pitman arm. Your car uses the same idler arm and center link as my car which means you don't need to change any other parts, just the pitman arm.
