I measured it and came up with 1/2" -13 Does this sound correct? I need to chase the thread so I want to buy a tap.

If you need to thread or chase the threads on a BOLT, uou need threading DIE. To thread a hole, you need a tap set, comprised of three (3) different taps: TAPER, PLUG AND BOTTOMING taps. Just thought you might like to know.

I have a very good German tap and die set. Im just missing the correct tap. The welded bolt in the K frame is a little cross threaded.

These are the bolts on my 69 charger. Why 12 point ?
And these are the bolts that were installed on the car. I cleaned them and tin/zinc plated them with Eastwood's plating kit.

These are the bolts that came out of my 72 Charger. They are the same thread size on my 68. Those look like after market bolts.

The bolt shown is from the 72. The 68 has the 12pt black anodized.
