Yes that is small TRW pump. You can tell by the shaft being solid. Federal pump has a 3/8" Threaded hole in shaft. Both can be rebuilt. And that federal pump was a hemi pump and AAR Cuda, and the non core cost is about $600 at RA now. So I am not sure I would just scrape one if you had one.
I believe the edelmann 7897 or gates 350370 kits are what you need. It is confusing on RA as they call them Chrysler pumps but use saginaw bearing terminology. But the parts they show in the kit are the Small TRW parts and bearing. Not all kits have the bearing.
Thanks Guys, I converted from the TRW and and did the Saginaw conversion. All went well but noticed the pump had a knock noise noticeable at idle. Quieter athigher RPM but still there. I bled the air. Is this normal? I used PS fluid, not ATF.
Hey Dragon Slayer , your inbox is full... I had a question for you. Do you know what kit part number would be used on a TRW pump with the Hex shaft? That’s the pump on my other car, fired it up today and it’s now leaking.
