Pro touring tire size

I've search for a bit but can't find what I need. My roadrunner is currently undergoing the standard issue quarter, trunk, wheelhouse replacement. I am doing a pro touring car but haven't decided on my suspension yet. I know I am going to lower a fair bit and would ideally like to run a 315 or larger. I am certain I will need to tub inner wheelhouse but will I need to do outter as well? This is when I need to make these decisions.

I would sure think after seeing how big the wheel wells are on my charger with no tub work you could just do the inner and shorten the rear end a bit and fit a huge tire in there, a 315 should fit in a stock wheel well, im running 305's and have a good amount of room left

You don't need to shorten the rear end either. You just order custom backspacing on the rims you want.

Jakepup, Im looking to run P305's on my 68 Charger.
The rims I want are 20x9.5x5x4.5 with 5.25" back spacing.
The tires are Pireli P zeros P305 40 20's.
Just started looking and want to be sure they fit.
What exactly are you running? How much clearance on wheel well?

im running 18x9.5 coys c5's with a 5 or 5.5 backspacing I cant remember, you could look on the coys site to be sure because I believe there is only 1 backspacing they sell. tires are nitto 305/45/18 drag radials and they have 1/2" clearance both inside and out.

305s will be a tight fit but with that backspacing they will likely rub the inside. I'm running 285s on a 10" rim with 5" backspacing and it centers the wheel really well.

Wow, no rubbing????? Are you always on flat pavement? I guess where I live mine never rubs on the pavement but pulling into my driveway to the garage where it's a bit off cambered the tire will rub the inner fender even though it has 1/2"-3/4" clearance. Maybe I just need to fix my driveway haha.

Stock suspension (with air shocks), not lowered at all. I haven't had any problems with rubbing....yet

x lowered the car 2 inches all the way around plenty of tire clearance

I'm struggling with the "What can I fit" issue right now and there are some monster tires in this thread stuffed into the stock well! That makes me happy! lol

I was hoping the "try" and fit a 305 on a 19X10 and that seems pretty damn achievable. I don't know if I want to push my luck and try a 315 but now I'm thinking maybe a 305 on a 19 X 12 then if I ever want to grow in tire size later with a mini tub the rim is capable of accepting larger and the dish on the concave will look that much more damn impressive!

I currently have 285's on a 17 X 9 and crawled under the car a couple minutes ago and looks like I have an easy 1.5" clearance on the outside and about 1.75" on the inside. so Room to grow

Ya, I think I am run a 345, on a 12 wide. I'll buy the wheels and shorten the rear end to suit. I want as much offset as I can get.
