The Bendix Hemi and Non Hemi Disc Brake Master Cylinders are very similar in look other than brake line exit. Both are 1 1/8in bores. Looking at an old Chrysler training video on 69 Brakes. The training video was very clear in stating while they look the same, the internal parts are not interchangeable. The question is what is different? How do you know which rebuild kit to get? I have taken apart a Hemi and None Hemi MC. The non hemi is original I believe base on condition and tag attached. The Hemi I can not be sure of, but when disassembled the primary piston was the same, the secondary looked different, but had the same dimensions and seal locations. I guess the secondary cylinder porting holes and spring tension could be different. Any insight to why it would be designed different? In the weeds I know, but interested in the answer. I did get an older rebuild kit Niehoff K-1122, and it had the exact parts that came out of the non hemi MC. (Pistons have part numbers).
