I'm looking to remove the bench and install a performance-style seat, but still want it comfy enough for regular driving. I'm not looking for a full-on race seat/shell, just something that will help keep me planted for road racing.

Any suggestions/ideas appreciated as to who has seats/brackets that will work in a 65 B-body without extensive work.

Thanks!

cipher racing seats, there cheap, sturdy and comfy, and fit all cars, alot of the pro touring cars use them

I never saw the sense in paying allot of money for seats when the salvage yards are full of them. I bought a full set (front and rear) for $125.00, the buckets were leather (2004 Stratus) and required minimal work to get bolted into the factory holes. It would be sweet to get a set of new SRT seats.

Corbeau and Sparco also offer racing seats. Summit and Jegs offer some with a classic appearance thta also have the side bolsters. Be sure to check the seat dimensions. They are very narrow for a reason. Check the reviews before you buy. You get what you pay for in those aftermarket seats.

Yep, sometimes the seat I see just look like they'd last about a year and then fall apart. Since I'm roadracing this car, I need to ditch the bench and get something comfortable because I still drive it a couple/few times a week and take long trips with it. I'm almost thinking of just getting a driver's seat and swapping seats before/after each race. I race only a few times a year, so it's more important to be comfortable the rest of the time. Thanks all for the input.
