Really noisy sure grip

It was full of oil so most washed out, and I went in thru the fill with a magnetic pick up tool we have in the shop, lastly I used a magnetic plug in case a shaving eluded me.

Hmmm...yeah learn something new every day. I always used Mopar's additive never thinking Gee M or Phord would make a nice home in there...

The ferd stuff works really well, that all I use.

where does one find the ferd stuff? at the ferd dealer? and what exactly is it called?

To add to my earlier post...can anyone say why GM/Ford additives does the trick while Mopar wouldn't?

Here's a pic

The Mopar stuff works well also. The ferd stuff is my personal preference and I've done quite a few rears, nit a one has chattered, so I stick with it.

Over the years I've found STP works just as well. Have you gone out to make sure it'll still light up both tires when you hammer the throttle? If not, you need to pull it and tear it apart and see what's wrong. The cone units can still be fixed if they are not totally trashed from one legging them. Been fixing them for over 30 years. One plus is that the center thrust pin can't come out of them like the clutch type can. That usually happens when someone over tightens the axle adjuster.....
