After a lot of sifting thru the net decided I should ask if anyone has done this work. The seal is really deteriorated and I got a new seal thru forum member. The new one though looks thinner than the old one especially at the corners and above vent windows. Not my first encounter with replacement out of spec weather seals! Anyway, it looks as though this seal is simply pressed in not requiring any removal of screws or hardware. Before I go on with this like to know if this the case? Thanks!

It's not uncommon for the replacement seals to be weaker at the corners. A trick of the trade is to take heater hose, or even foam rubber and insert it into the openings of the seal and build up the integrity of the front header from corner to corner.
I use 3m yellow snot trim adhesive to install. Remove old seal and clean the channels. Small bead of 3m adhesive and press the new seal into the channels.

Thanks. I'll see how the seal sets up after installing hoping I won't have to do modifications for a quality seal.

I installed the new seal and as mentioned it's a different configuration than the old one having one slip ridge to affix in the channel while the other had two. As such the new seal lays nearly vertical. Could be after some settling the seal will lay flatter into the seat above the windshield frame. As it is now the top sets with a 3/4" gap on the windshield frame. At the corners above the vent windows are openings about a 1/4". A seal isn't made at these points. As for affixing the seal at the corners, the side channels above the door windows end 3-inches from the windshield frame. There is nothing to hold the seal in place, this is, no areas here where gluing would make sense at least to me. Part of this opening issue (as I search for ways to seal up this area) is the original seals along the vent windows as photo'd ends about 3-inches from the top of the vent windows. I had installed new seals exactly where the old ones were. There are obvious adjustments to be made to the entire top frame I have to contend with; but affixing the seals in the corners and obtaining a tight seal I'm not so sure will be remedied by this. I'd guess anyone with a '62-'63 convert having installed new weather seals might have encountered this dilemma and hope you may have some advice. Thanks
