A few months after I bought the GTX, it quit in the middle of rush hour traffic. It would turn over but not start. While it was stalled in the left lane of a four lane thoroughfare with the hood up, everyone was giving the the thumbs up on how great it looked. Very embarrassing. It turned out to be the coil. Here it is on the flatbed. 24-09-08_1546.jpg24-09-08_1547.jpg:laughing6:

I don't own a Chevy.
LOL!! Oh man, that was cold lol. No pics of mine on the hook but I guess I've been lucky but I did have to pick up my 66 Belvedere at work with my truck and trailer because of an electrical short. The insulation on the alternator wire found ground in the loom that had been worn down after 30 years of being tied to the valve cover and blew out the fusible link. Damage was minimal luckily. How bout a thread for the longest project still on jack stands?? I think I may be the winner of that!

When I finally got my RR put together and was taking it to get the front end aligned my new 727 conked out on me. But I made it to the shop then had it hauled to the tranny shop. It been going good ever sice then.

The setup was too good and I couldn't resist!

Last year my 02 Durango ended up coming home on a flatbed due to a fuel pump failure. I looked at the odometer and it said 179K and I didn't even get mad.

I may give you a run for your money on the longest unfinished project/s!

Ever owned one?Dont knock them till you try them.

I couldn't resist making the comment. My first $150.00 beater was a 62 Chevy II 4 dr with a 194 six, 3 on the tree and a slipping clutch (or a clutch-glide as I call it).

The Pickle wasn't running when I bought it. Because the car had been sitting for over 6 years, the carb gaskets dried out & the accelerator pump was leaking so badly that it had to be winched into the trailer down in FLA.

Never say never! :DMAGE:

oh t has happened, I just don't have any pics. But in all honesty, since I have owned Mopars since 1983, I have had my daileys, mine and the wifes hauled a few times. But the toy cars I have ony had towed three times. Pretty good run.
