A great site, I saw it last night, but mines not on there. I guess mine looks closest to a '73 4 Barrel 400, but not orange and no flap.
The problem with these is quite apparent. Calculate the square area of your exhaust and the area of your intake opening. Then calculate the opening area of conventional air cleaner snorkels. It takes 14 parts air to one part fuel, so how the hell do you get enough air in a single snorkel air cleaner, at high rpm's to maintain a proper A/F ratio. You can't. Some cut an opening in the rear of the housing and mount screening where it's out of sight and doesn't starve the engine for air. Your engine should not have to waste HP just to get air into it, just like it shouldn't have to waste HP to get exhaust gases out. Hence the birth of the dual snorkel.I got this Air Cleaner with my '71 Charger project. It's a single snorkel Air Cleaner and is marked Chrysler part number 2683347.
I've googled it, looked on another forum that has a part lookup. Nothing....
What is its application and more information. I'm going to sell it.
Thanks!!!
