Probably not going to be very original, but....
'71 Charger, currently with a 440. Had been turning over, but not catching. Found a leak on the ignition coil, so replaced it, as well as the battery.
Fired immediately after, ran for a second and dies before finding idle. Guessing ignition coil was in fact bad. Same thing maybe 2 more times. Then stops turning over altogether. Lights, gauges, fuel pump still working, hear the solenoid hitting when I turn the key, but motor doesn't turn. All grounds seem good, battery is brand new optima. Same thing when I trip the relay under the hood with screwdriver, thunk from the solenoid and nothing.
Thinking it's got to be the starter, but looking for other ideas before I replace it, as I'll have to remove the headers too!!!
