Stop on in for a cup of coffee!

Lovely area. My favorite part of the state

Very nice, I spend most my time on the east side of the river. Once in a while up to Dubuque. Been to Prairie du chien several times. Not in the car yet.

It was a blast. I was a little hesitant to take my 66 Dart. The single reservoir master cylinder and the 4 wheel drum brakes could be a issue but no problems. The HP273 4 speed is a great combination for the hills and I kept up just fine with all the big boys. I was pleased at how much torque the little devil has. S many people say the 273's are gutless. I could drive up and down most hills in 4th at highway speeds.

Morning boys.
Looks like today will be a bit nicer.

For some reason, I thought you lived in the S.E. part. You ever go to the drag races at Cedar Falls? .......................MO
Yes. The drag strip is about 5 miles from my home.n @ weekends ago we had the Mopar Max weekend. Car show, swap meet, and drag racing.

Hey, what's up? Missed the morning coffee here but the day has been good. Cold and windy here in Vermont since the wind direction changed to out of due North last night.

Hell, I'm still drinking coffee  11:23 Am

great sunny & warm day here 75-ish
no smoke in the air so far
unfortunately the western part of the state
150 mile or so away is on fire
lots of fires everywhere, I have a few family near that area...

Glad I'm not down in that area...
Glad none of them got burned out too...
We get enough of our share of fires in the Sierra's too...

Getting close to the Halloween decoration time,
the little kids next-door are all fired up, it's cute...
The little boy Will {4} is going to be a racecar driver this year...
The little girl {7 IIRC} a princess, go figure...
I miss the kids being around for this type of stuff...
Lots of surrounding area's kids come to my neighborhood,
the surrounding area is mostly all sparse, spaced out &
rural so they come to the few subdivisions to Trick or Treat...
Easier on the little kids & parents/grandparents...

I love the fall, nice time of year not too hot not too cool...
We usually still have an Indian Summer here, until about mid Nov.
than winter hits, than I can't wait for spring mid Mar. or Apr...
I hate snow, I use to love it, but as I get older I dislike it more & more....

Sounds like you are safe from the fires.

Sounds like you are safe from the fires.
Yeah far away...
Thank goodness...

I have a niece & nephew 150 miles west in Santa Rosa & Rohnert Park areas
my niece had a few houses in her area burn, unfortunately
started from embers floating in the wind...
My nephew in Rohnert Park says the smoke was unreal,
said it is like an apocalyptic war scene, he's former USAF...
No houses burned in his neighborhood yet...

Sad some beautiful country out there is burning...
{not all of Calif. is city, like some think, in fact most of it is rural, hard working types}

It looks pretty nasty on the news. Looks like whole neighborhoods burned to the ground. Destruction as bad as tornadoes here in the midwest.

You know, when I saw it on the news
that's what I thought to myself,
"looks like a tornado went thru"...

Morninpg gents. Time for my second cup.

Looks like mother nature will cooperate with us today.
Looks like wet again thus weekend though

It liiks like today will be dry. I need to get my 66 Dart out of the storage garage so I can put some shelves up. I have a dozen totes that are taking up floor space. Looks like today is the day. It's supposed to rain tomorrow and Saturday.
