Happy Thanksgiving to All. With the Black Friday weekend upon us, I see Strange Axle has a Nice Deal for the Holiday shopping, 10% Off, and FREE Shipping ! I need to get my rear axle for my '63 build, so just looking for some advice on some of the options available on a new unit. The car will be street/strip driven, not looking to enter a Series event, where winning is the goal, just taking part, with no major punishment to the drivetrain regularly. Engine should be around 580 HP/Torque, + or - 40. Automatic, probably choosing 3:73 G/R, so street driving will be decent, but still have some bite on starts. I would prefer to "over build", in case the car goes to the next level at some point. Any recommendations for the Posi unit, stud size, etc, on options ? Also, does the stock spring perch location work well, when using MP SS springs, with shims as needed to correct the pinion angle ? Any input, and advice appreciated, and enjoy the Day, Thanks...

Not open today or tomorrow. I'm just looking for what others have liked, and disliked, so as to have a good idea what works, and maybe something to step up to. With the temp around ZERO this morning, I didn't have much enthusiasm pushing me out to hunt, so just working on some warm weather plans. Thanks...

My Satellite has a 4.10 Dana. The 4.10 is good for around town driving and the strip. Freeway 65 - 70 MPH is fairly noisy & drinks fuel. 500" motor with 850 DP. Back in the day, my Strange axles went several thousand runs with no problems, around 600 HP. Not sure which limited slip is better. As my car moves toward mostly drag strip I'm headed for a spool. The S60 does seem like a good deal.

Yes, talk to Strange...good guys. For my 2-cents, I suggest you look at 3.54 gears max if you want to highway drive the car....if not, then 3.73's would be fine.

The super stock spring will raise the back height of the car quite a bit, but the super stock front spring shackles have an extra upper hole. If you use this hole, the back of your car will be lowered down to near-stock height, but your pinion angle will be way off (pinion nose up) & you'd need to re-align/re-weld your spring perches to correct the pinion angle (shims aren't enough). "Supposedly" you get a little better traction this way. Another way to get the rear of the car down is to use the standard front shackle holes (lower ones), which keeps the stock pinion angle OK, and use lowering blocks (aka truck lift blocks which actually lower a Mopar). "Best" would probably be to get the rear without the spring perches welded on & weld those yourself when the rear suspension is all installed.

When does the sale end? My Christmas party for work is on Dec.15
It says Black Friday Sale, 'til Monday 11/26, Midnight. I sent them a detailed message, and hope to get it done tomorrow, when they re-open for the week. With the 10% off, and Free shipping, seems like now is the time...

Well, for once a plan came together. Worked with Jake at Strange to get the ball rolling, and ended up closing the deal with Cass at Dr.Diff. Both very knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Looking forward to future deals, now that I have a good road map to follow. THANKS to Both of them, and Those who offered up some advice, input, and guidance, here on the Forum

Any word when you’ll get your S60?

I got the call Tuesday from the Carrier, UPS, and scheduled a Friday delivery. I'm hoping the truck has a lift gate to get it on my cart, and roll it up my driveway...

Mine came on a semi with a lift gate trailer and cart, he rolled it all the way up to my driveway to the pole barn.

On Friday my Strange S60 was delivered, as the sun was heading down. No liftgate, but the driver and I got it off the truck, and onto my cart. It's stored in my meat freezer of a garage, until the warmer weather moves in around April or May, I hope...

Can you measure the length of the box?

I think the only things I need to pick up yet are the U-bolts for the rear end assy, and once the shell is painted, the car can get it's start to go back together. It's been about a 4yr journey, so far...

Wow, I am surprised that they delivered the S60 to your house. UPS would only deliver mine to a commercial address with a loading dock and fork lift.

When i ordered from cass he said he could get it $100 cheaper if I had it delivered to a commercial address with a dock.
