It has disc brakes on the front

I would highly recommend you invest in some Eastwood Internal Frame Coating. It creeps into lap seams and by coupling hoses (each can has a extended nozzle) you can reach inside that cowl and seal all that rust. I am using it on 2 cars I am building and it is neat stuff!

Lucky, that cowl looks solid. The lower cowl will probably have some surface rust that can't be reached very well when blasting. That coating Mike mentioned might help in this area too.

where do i get that stuff any paint store or napa.
