Please remember vets year round, especially when congress tries once again to curtail or eliminate service member benefits. They continue to erode away what little benefits the military members and families get. They're already at a wage increase rate less than inflation, have been for a while. They ask more of military members every day and pay them less. All while the gov't contracts and programs get fatter and the politicos sit in their ivory towers without fear of losing any of their own benefits.
As a citizen you can write to your congressman/woman about issues and you can vote pro-vet.

Yeah, my neighborhood is red, but Pima frickin' county is blue. I am glad enough people from other locations in the state had the good sense to turn it red!!!!!

I would have thought AZ was safely a red state. I visit my grandparents in Mesa every winter. To me it seems like Maricopa co. and Sheriff Joe were well liked and assumed the rest of the state was similar.

Sheriff Joe, just got booted. Tucson itself is a liberal bastion, that is why I do not live there, I live 20 miles south and I do not go there unless I have to. Tucson has all the problems of any place run by liberals for any length of time including horrifying governmental corruption. The current Pima county sheriff is under investigation by the FBI. One of the lead deputies under him has been indicted on misuse of rico funds and another committed suicide. Fortunately that a-hole got voted out this time around. I think the reason that AZ was not stronger for Trump is because there is a large Hispanic population, and I think they usually go Democratic, but that is starting to change, they are beginning to realize that the Dems talk and do not deliver.
