Cold weather. Short daylight hours. Too many hours spent indoors. If you're outside, you have to bundle up like an arctic explorer to do anything. Everything is wet or cold, paint takes too long to dry, stores are too busy....
For me, this time of year S-U-C-K-S !!
I hate shopping. I always feel like what I'm buying isn't right or enough.
Spring and Summer are great! Warm evenings with a sunset around 9:00? Fantastic!
Great cruising conditions too...

How cold is cold is your part of the country & how much snow do you get?

Cheer up, the weather will start getting better in 3 months.

This may fall on deaf ears but we get no snow.
It all is a matter of what you are used to. When a millionaire complains about his tax burden, nobody in the middle class cares.
It will get down into the low 20s here sometimes but not for long. Daytime highs can range between the mid 40s and mid 50s. Compare that to the warm Spring, Summer and Fall months and the Winter time just sucks. Snow is about an hour east if I want to experience it.
The short days is a big part of it. I hate when Daylight Saving Time ends, it feels like a bill just came due and you were not ready to pay it.

Oh boo hoo! Come on, this is that magical time of year when we can start in on that list the wife has for us, catch up on some filing and redecorating... and spend more time with the in-laws.

That’s a bad *** looking car! I have a Coronet only because I couldn’t find a second generation Charger.
We had minus thirty two this morning without the pussy windchill. A couple feet of snow.
Gonna get colder the next few months.
Gets light around 09:00 AM, dark around 03:00PM and days are getting shorter by seven minutes per day.
I suffer from seasonal depression, triggered by the dark. I used to get around this by spending part of the winter in Palm Springs, or more recently Mexico. Travel restrictions have put a halt to this, and I feel like a rat in a cage. My plan was to hole up in the house and pull the covers over my head and ride out covid, but as an essential government worker I will probably have to work through the winter. We have covid cases here now, and wife will be laying hands on them. If she can work, I can work.
My Mexican cat actually voluntarily went outside this morning. If she can do it, I can do it.

We visit the Wife's family at Christmas and even though it is warmer, there is still the early sundown that sucks.

I have spent the last 36 years of my life working outdoors. I love it outside but working in wet or muddy conditions is a bummer too.

yes winter sucks, had the car out today.Sorry guys thats why I moved south.

I like that picture

Reminds me of a movie scene
I agree wholeheartedly.
That photo is stunning. When did you take it?
This time of year I bury myself in projects, I’m done buying gifts except for a very few special ones. Cash is green and it’s wrapped in red, kids are done.
Damn that’s a great picture, hope you don’t mind me adding to my 5000 other ones on my phone.

I actually like Winter, but the part that sucks is Nadine is up on jack stands, with a cover over her for the next four months. I hear her whimpering when I walk into the barn.

I found the picture online somewhere, just like these:

I always hope winter will bring me some needed time to do some updating to my Satellite. I need to install my interior and a few other things if I find some time.

You dudes in the snow/rust climates are probably used to all of this.
Sahara...The thought of approx 6 hours of daylight each day sounds horrible. I can barely take it where I am now.

Looks like Colorado plates in the first pic. Rain and high 50’s here. Brutal.

Fortunately for me I live in Southern California, so even on a day like today, where greg is considering gouging his eyes out with a spoon, I can drive my convertible with an optional sweater and maybe some gloves. Getting darker earlier is also a plus for me as it keeps less moron drivers on the roads. Nevertheless, I need to get the f**k out of this state...
