TQ to engine plate distance

I finally have my 360 in the car. Looks like the TQ needs to come about 3/16" to meet the new B&M external balancing plate. How far is too far?

If the tork converter is properly set in the trans, it will need to slide forward some amount to engage the flex plate. Be sure to mark the proper alignment of the flex plate to the converter mounting lugs. One of the lugs is offset. I always line up the flex plate & converter ahead of time & paint each to be sure I have proper alignment.
