I had a fun day at the machine shop, looking my 383 69' cuda engine seeing the progress he
had made. But I was shocked to see another three 383 HP engines (69) being rebuilt, then I said: what is that fourth engine? He said that guy was really protective of that block, but it was just another 440.
I looked it over and laughed! I said, somebody in this town has a 69' Coronet R/T Convertible! (WS27L9) I love going to the machine shop!

I'm surprised the block has the entire VIN. Pretty fun playing MoPar detective.

Yes it did, out of respect I didn't type it. However, I have a 69' WS23L9xxxxxx in there myself that has all 13 digits, as does my 69' 340 GTS. Not all did though, I concur.

My 69' Coronet 383 has all 13, and my 273 Dart does as well. I did notice that pretty much all the 70 and up blocks had just the last eight. The quality of the 69' stamp seemed quite good, but later on the numbers became quite poor, and hard to read.
