I just pulled this from my 69 Coronet. It does not match anything on my mopar diff ID guide, closest is maybe an 8 1/4?
Some people have said its a Chev 10 bolt?????
I have checked on a Chev Differential ID page and where the Chev 10 bolt is supposed to have casting numbers, this diff has none, so maybe it isnt a Chev 10 bolt after all?
It may be an Australian Chrysler Valiant diff as the car has been here for 4 years but I doubt it as the diff U-bolts needed to be replaced a few months ago and they were rusted on so bad a plasma cutter was required to get them off, they looked every bit of being there for decades!
I checked the stud pattern, same on front and rear.....but of course that just means the front disk rotors might also be off a Chev knowing my luck...
Anyway, if you are certain you know what it is please let me know. If its Mopar I can at least hold onto it until I can afford an 8 3/4 but if its a Chev diff then its gone!! The little tag on the bottom of the cover appears to read 2.71
