What's it worth?

Looking at a 70 Super Bee, NOM 383 4speed (was converted from a 3 speed), 3:23 rear, ps, pb, original metal, original color, build sheet and fender tag. FC7--plum Crazy with a white bucket seat interior. All else being OK, what's it worth??

Its worth what they are asking its a nice looking car

You better find out about the undercarrige before you buy it. Also I know this seller , and he's always high.

15 to 20....depending on overall condition.

That low???

With it being a fugly 1970 and GM spatter paint hiding all of the sins in the trunk (that has no spare, jack, and an ill-fitting mat), I'm actually surprised that he valued it that high.

However, if you want to pay more, go for it.

Before I would spend that kind of money I would either go look at the car or have somebody look at it for you. Once you buy it , it is to late to complain.:argue:

I wouldn't dream of buying this one without seeing it up close and in person!! The paint in the trunk bothered me a bit, so I asked from some more pics. We will see what I get back.

I bet if you walked in there with 20k in your hand they would sell it, blast out all the flaws with it and take him to town on it with real #'s to correct/fix and you will find that 7k worth of stuff :) Good luck it does look good.

If the frames and at least 90% of the body is good (not rusted) then I think 20k is reasonable.

This coming from a guy who spent 10k for a car that has to be stripped down and restored ;) but driveable!! lol Listen to the guys here they know, wish I had :(

Yea $27,900 is kind of high for a 383 car, if it is perfect & low miles than maybe $22k... I bought an original always garaged 40k mile 70 Super Bee Plum Crazy, white Bucket seat interior, w/console, 440 Six Pack, 727 auto, Dans 60, Road wheels/Magnun 500's, nice BFG tires, whole car near perfect, no rust for $27K, here in Calif., 2005 in Auburn area Newcastle Ca., the guy tried to sell it for $39k {or something like that for a couple of years, with no luck}, I went in there with $30K cash & talked him down to $27k, nit picking it... I wish I would have kept it now... I sold it for $47k in early 2007 (the market was crazy then & I needed room)... I had bought (2) 68 RR HT's 383 cars in 2005 for $6k & $3k, didn't want to mess with the 70 Super Bee {it was too nice}, built one RR that was a $3k basket case as a mid 8 second race car w/N20 & a 479ci, sold it 2011 for $28k (needed tax money), to a friend, kept the other 67K mile 68 RR HT 383 auto, still working on it, lots of cash latter... My long winded point is, It really depends on the market, condition & buyer... It looks like a really nice car, in those photos, but it can be decieving, I would suggest looking at it in person for sure, try to get them down on price...

I'll bet that his margin is at least 30-40%. Check out his link. He's got to pay for that new showroom somehow.

Thanks for all of your opinions. I am also trying to sell my 71 numbers matching Challenger r/t 340 4 speed..very clean and low miles and he mentioned an even swap for my car which I thought was a low offer for mine......but he said he needed to make something on the deal....

Any car is only worth, no more and no less, than what someone is willing to pay for it.
