I bid on magnum 500's on eBay years ago that had bfg's on them. The seller kept looking for 4 perfect boxes but ended up shipping them in heavy cardboard that had been cut to fit and taped into 4 wheel-shaped boxes. They survived the trip unscathed via UPS ground.
Another wheel story.....I shipped 2 wheels[wide] back to Bogart...2 weeks ago. I went to the discount-tire local to me. They gave me 4 boxes, to build two wide ones. Took me less than 2 hours to get them to the USPS.
I could be wrong, but using context clues I have a feeling the OP purchased some wheels from someone and they are using the excuse that they don't have boxes to ship them in as the reason they haven't been sent yet. He was using his example to Bogart as way to demonstrate that if a person if earnest in their efforts and resourceful its quite easy to get the required materials to make the trip.
If that's that case, I feel for you. I hate when people put an item up for sale and have no way to get that item to me after I've already sent money. Now if they clearly state "no shipping" and I'm able to talk them into it, then I cut them some slack. Otherwise I have to ask...why list it if you're not ready to hold up your end of the sale and get me the item in a timely manner?
