As far as I could tell my dad had married eight times. The first one (my mom) lasted the longest and the last one was the second longest. There was one in the middle that lasted several years and all the rest were pretty short-term with one being maybe two weeks. The ironic part is that my dad's name was Henry and yes I called him Henry the 8th many times.

Hey, Cranky.
Was about to hit the like button
on your post, but felt it just wasn't
appropriate until how you feel about
your dad's escapades are known.
My wife and I have been together
since Sept 6, 1975. And, yes I
would do it all over again if it
started with her.
She prefers cars I've owned have/had
a front bench, but I'll admit a few
buckets got between us.

Well, that was his life and not mine. Mom passed away when I was 12 and dad moved us (my sister and me) from the north to the south since his job was picking up roots and moving out of state and dad didn't want to move there plus one of my uncles (his brother) offered him a job. The majority of dad's family lived in the south so off we went. My sister was pissed because she pretty much took roots back up north and was popular in school. She was 16 at the time.

I was around 17 when dad got married to my first step mom and she was ok but not that much and it didn't last all that long. Anyway, my sister is the one that never forgave him for anything. Dad and I didn't get along all too well early in my teens but well enough but she never got along with dad. By the time I was around 30, things were much better. Yeah, there were a couple of step moms that I didn't care for but by then I was on my own and didn't have to live under the same roof....and from the looks of things, he didn't like them after awhile either lol

I divorced in 1990 and haven't remarried. I've had 3 long term relationships and dated a lot, even lived together for 6 years with someone. My present 15 year relationship lasts because she's my boss and we have seprate houses were we decompress from each other.

If/when I get a divorce, this is what I will do. Never marry or live together unless it's for a weekend or vaca. Worked out really well for my dad. He seemed happy for the first time in his life.

I would marry my wife all over again in a heartbeat, 33 years so far. But, if anything were to happen to her, I would not remarry. I’m not interested in pursuing any other females, I would be happy to just be by myself.

My wife is one of the very few women I have known in my life (I can count them on one hand), that is NOT a "game player" when it comes to relationships.

As difficult as it was to find that when I was in my 20's and 30's, I imagine it would be much more difficult at this point or later.

Well, met a couple of women but man.....no way that I want to marry or live with either one. Why are so many women control freaks and treats a 72 year old like a child?

To the same lady, Hell yea.

To someone else , NOPE . I'll rent one every so often

Like you other guys who have picked the right one, I'd marry the original again. Another one.... well, like my GTXs, there was a classy one back in the day who stole my heart as a teenager. My wife and I had lunch with her when we put a deposit on the retirement home where she's a resident. She's ten years older than me, and if my wife predeceased me, it would make financial sense. Like my current car, she would be the only one I'd consider. Other than silver hair, and some smile lines, she still looks like the picture.

From another Did You Know ?
In 2017, 70-year-old Lawrence Ripple robbed a Kansas City bank, then sat down in the lobby saying he would rather go to jail than to live with his wife any longer. He was sentenced to house arrest.
