All I can say is WOW! 22.00 to ship a dual point distributor wire lead that’s insane.

They grab you with the 30% off email , and then slam you into bankruptcy on shipping

I got a quote on shipping today from the USPS that was ridiculous too. A box that is 10"X10"X40" and weighs 4 pounds at almost $75.

In today's mess I wouldn't be too quick to blame Year One as Jerry points out. Cost Chargersteve $45 for me to mail him his "free" mufflers yesterday, within the province!

I just shipped a 20” cooling fan UPS ground from Tennessee to Florida for 24 bucks 25 x 25 x 5 box weighed 8 lbs. The distributor lead weighs a few ounces and would ship in padded envelope.

That makes Free sound expensive. :)

Beekeeper said a wire lead

What does that weigh - 1 ounce ? In a padded envelope

Year one wanted to charge me $24 for shipping on two small pal nuts that hold an hood emblem on

Hey!! Be Nice.... They need to make a profit...

I was looking at buying a tool for my lathe, found one vendor selling it for about $15 cheaper than anyone else... But hidden in the fine print was the $200 shipping charge.... Fxxxing Crooks....

Our doggie vet medication jumped way up.
Shipping was the office's explanation.
Little more involved with supply chain stuff but that was the big driver they said.

I seen the 30% off sign. I found what I wanted all small items under under 10lbs. $64 USD savings. Total $594 USD. SHIPPING $136.64 USD to Alberta Canada.

90% off the stuff was not elegible for discount.

I sent the list to MEGA PARTS. I support the smaller guy. You save more an and the shipping is cheaper.

Post office told me if the padded envelope doesn’t fit through their machine, it’s priced the same as a box because it has to be manually processed.
I sent a small part in a padded envelope, I used one of their shipping Kiosks. When it got to the recipient, they made him pay the difference.

well damn. i just ordered a 67 satellite rear bumper and floor pan wire loom covers from AMD and shipping wasn't but $28

Yeah, I have been caught with that "Not Eligible For Discount" BS, too. I recently requested that a relatively small package be shipped here to Canada by USPS to avoid border brokerage charges. That request added 2 weeks to the package leaving Classic Industries.

Didn't someone post about surcharges on long packages USPS? X inches $15, Y inches x $25. $22 for a pigtail, crazy!

I learned my lesson and threw away my Year One catalog. No more orders to them from me. Just hope they someday get the radiator cap to me I ordered in December.

I quit using Year One about 1995.
I am going to ship a pinion snubber and 4 seat belt bolts to the East Coast in a flat rate box. $18.95 Can. Includes tracking and insurance, by Canada Post.

So??? How many of y'all have your own USPS account? Same for UPS??? I have both and I do all my own shipping when I need to. Also when I run, say if I were buying from Year One as an example, do shipping backwards from me to them where Flat Rate or Parcel Post is used and then I challenge them for the price gouging. Sometimes it works but when it doesn't, I just seek out another source and start the process all over again. I get the cost of shipping from and to Canada as that is considered overseas or international. If I can drop ship to an address in the States close to the Canadian border, I will do that and then let the Canadian buyer go get it at his own requirement and customs processes. Otherwise I avoid shipping and buying from there. Just too damn costly these days. cr8crshr/Bill:realcrazy::realcrazy::realcrazy::usflag::usflag::usflag:
