Never had it on a charger. Just had it disconnected. I did check it with the meter before the first turn on and it was around 12.3. Then cranked it and it rose to 14 and stayed there, even when I rev’d it.
67 charger. Msd 6al. Higher amp alt, 70 style wiring conversion with 70s style VR and ballast delete.
Couldn’t find a thread on my exact problem so sorry for another charging question.
Just got done with a rewiring project. Started it up the first time, 14 at the battery while idling and...
I bought one from Auto City Classic off eBay and it’s been perfect. Went right in no issues. Didn’t realize how poorly my old one was working until I dropped that thing in.
Your light idea is definitely cool haha, but I guess I’d go with option 2, but not sell the originals. Keep the nos safe in a box. Maybe once you get into the project and the car comes to life you’ll want to invest more in it or make it ‘nicer’. Probably won’t find a set of originals in the box...
Been trying to read into this as I’m rewiring things and I’ve seen different posts on this but still don’t have a clear idea…
All that I have to do is create a wire that goes from the alt stud to the starter relay, and things are ‘safer’? It’s been running fine as is, I’m just rewiring things...
Also could be a bad turn signal switch. Mine was doing crazy light things with brakes and taillights last season. Put in a new switch and everything works
When you turn the wheel does it sound like the canceller is working (clicking)? Maybe you didn’t tighten the wheel down enough so that the little cancel arm on the back side of your wheel is able to touch the cancel cam.?
From the two reviews on summit seems like you got a 50/50 chance of a...
There was another guy on here I posted on a while back but never got to taking pictures..not sure if it’s the same for yours, but in my 67 charger with a 727 auto I mounted a quicksilver to the existing shifter linkage. Didn’t use the cable and it sits right in the factory plate. Just bent up a...
Thanks guys! I can’t seem to find exactly where it’s leaking from. But either way I think I’ll just do the swap. And it seems like just biting the bullet and getting the complete kit is the way to go. Thanks!
Looking into doing the upgrade. 67 charger, 383, 727. Everything is stock as far as I know. Mine is leaking so I figured if I’m pulling it might as well look into upgrading. Not for any other reason than I’ve read posts about it and people say it’s good.
Can I just buy the Borgeson steering...
Put an auto city classic 26” in my 383 67 charger this summer. It works amazing. Went straight in no issues. I have the mechanical fan and no shroud and it stays cool for as long as I want to drive it. Granted, it replaced the original, but it runs like a completely different car now.
