I tried to find the one that surfaced here in Toledo in the late seventies. Pre-computers back then. A man who didn't drive bought a new 58' Biscayne and had it towed to his garage, the wheels taken off and the car on blocks. His reasoning was that if things got bad enough that he had to leave he would hire a neighbor to drive him. Once a year the dealer would tow the car in and service it. This went on until 77' when the dealer acquired it and had it repainted. When I saw it the dealer they wouldn't sell the car. It sat in the showroom till the dealer closed a few years later.
