Adjusting shift stop bolts on a Hurst shifter

When you adjust the shifter stop bolts on a comp plus shifter,is it done in the 1-2 gate or the 3-4 gate.

When you adjust the shifter stop bolts on a comp plus shifter,is it done in the 1-2 gate or the 3-4 gate.

Theoretically, if your rods are adjusted right they should be the same.

Realistically you have to go through both and adjust it for the tighter side, the other side will be a little loose.

I adjust for 1 & 2 and then check that 3 & 4 are ok.
