Chromed police wheels?

FYI, Stockton Wheels shut down operation earlier this week.

Yesterday, Frank Mauro Jr, owner of Stockton Wheels, killed himself.

They had started to get a really bad rep for sending out junk and not standing behind there product . Alot of there brand new magums would come in with the paint flaking off or soon would flake .

Cripe sakes that's terrible.

I feel like an *** for even bringing it up now.


Well as for the chromed cop wheels i was going to try contacting wheelvintiques and ask them if they could do it. I might do that now.

What did you use for backspacing on those. I have some 15x10 rims that stick out a little too far for my taste and it looks like they could go in a good 2 inches. so I think if I just change my back spacing they will fit nice.

They have a 5" backspace.

Dave,There is a powder coating called Almost Chrome.Some of the guys in the vintage snowmobile world use it on the ski's and it looks pretty good.

A good chrome job is many layers...depends what one is chroming. Ferrous metals (steel) vs brass, zinc. First they (steel) must me acid cleaned. Tinned, nickel, then the final chrome layer. Some cheapo places just clean then chrome dip. Study up...watch out! And chrome is a lot of work to maintain. Looks gaudy getto on rims, IMO.
Love the cop rims.. I might go to those some day.
