Interior Rear Window Trim Repair

The interior rear window trim on my ‘68 Charger is coming off. This was installed when the PO restored the car. I searched and didn’t find any threads on repairing trim. Any suggestions on how this is supposed to be installed or can be fixed?

It just presses on to the metal lip. Just push it back in place.

I tried to push it back in but it keeps popping out. Before I add some glue, I was check to see if anyone had this issue before and how they fixed it.
