My rebuild 440 for the GTX has a strange problem, plugs are getting wet
when I try to start it when cold. It's about 38-40*F in the garage and
I have to disconnect the electric choke and hold full throttle to be lucky to start it. I have tried 3 different carbs and it's exactly the same story.
Once it's warm it runs OK and starts immediatly but not cold.
Floatlevels and idlemix is OK, can it be a weak spark that is enough when
it's warm? Normally I always have the opposite problem in the winter, you
can't pump enough fuel in it to get it started.

It's a Proform 750 vacuum but I tried a eddy and a Holley aswell with same result. Maybe it's bad connection to the choke, I take the plus from the wipermotor.

If it's "flooding" within a few revolutions of the motor, I think you may well have an ignition problem. That car ain't firing. Trust me. There ain't nuthin out there that can flood faster than a Six Pack, and my Challenger (with a PRESTOLITE DUAL POINT) never failed to fire right up with the choke hooked up, motor hot or cold, and ambient temp hot or cold.
