Seam repair on new upholstery

I pulled on the wrong spot while installing the seat skin and it ripped at the seam, here’s how I fixed it:

carefully brush adhesive (I used some stuff in a bucket and a paint brush) to the affected area and a piece of muslin.

Fold the ripped part onto the old seam and break out the ol sewing kit. Start from the furthest end and work your way back. Do this a few times and done.

My sewing skills aren’t that great but it will hold and it’s in an area that won’t show

I should also add that I turned the skin inside out to make it easier to access.
