Who Likes Aircraft ?

LAIKA:
-The Soviet Union stunned the world on Nov. 3, 1957, with the launch of Sputnik 2. On board the small satellite was a little dog, Laika, the first animal to orbit Earth. However, Laika was not the first animal in space. The United States and the U.S.S.R. had been putting animals atop rockets since 1947.

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- On Nov. 3, 1966, the North American XB-70 Valkyrie flights resumed as aircraft No. 1 made the first of nine flights in support of the National Sonic Boom Program. This was a joint NASA/U.S. Air Force research program, which concluded Jan. 31, 1967.

Yes,
cool aircraft
Allegedly, one is still flying
Not flying, but still existing. The original is in the National Museum of the US Air Force; the second example that was built crashed in a 1966 mid-air collision. Here's the current view - it last flew in 1969. Check out the other cool experimental craft parked around it.

Nah,
(I was stationed at Wright-Patt for 12 years, I know that bird)
Rumored that they made 3
US Airline pilots have "spotted it" often over Utah air Space
"Rumored to be flying"

I have this issue:

In the "Biz" "WE" call this magazine:
"Aviation Leak and Space Technology"
-That IS a B-70 flying (Artist drawing based on accounts of many US Airline pilots) launching a parasite Recon vehicle taken from numerous eyewitness accounts
(Hint: It's gray in color)

I too saw that bird at the USAF Museum. It was awesome! I never expected it to be as large as it really is. Seeing all the "small" planes parked next to it still doesn't do justice to its size. You need to walk underneath it to feel it!

Photon: I was a member of the" Friends of the Museum" from 1982 through 1992
I was at Wright-Patterson for 12 years
I've "Been around the block a few times"

Well,
Countless Airline pilots have seen it
And again, on the cover of Aviation "Leak" and Space Technology
Take it for what it's worth guys....

My gut says the plane is kept @ operational.

Yup, Kiwigtx's Bud's 70 In-Violet GTX model has been in the cockpit of a F-22!
Soon the model will be hand delivered to Kiwigtx's good Bud in Nevada

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- On Nov. 7, 2000, the Lockheed Martin X-35A accomplished its first aerial refueling. During its 10th flight, the Joint Strike Fighter demonstrator completed four refueling evolutions from a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker at 23,000 feet and verified its compatibility with the tanker’s flow-field wake and refueling boom.
