Wife always tags me when she knows it is low. “Need a little milk from the market, just take my car.” 20 minutes and $40 later, she has her gallon of milk.
We run an 833 OD in a road race setup a-body. 300 hp at the flywheel with a 3.73 rear gear. Hardly ever shift to 4th. When we do, easy shift into gear and hammer down. Held up for years. Fun to power by $100,000 cars in an old Plymouth.
According to the filter study, the Baldwin flowed better than the Wix and had better filtration. That's not to say that the Wix is not a good filter.
I run both street car and race motor engines. VR1 10-30 is my choice. Proven in endurance races. Oil cooler is required for endurance.
Have run...
Best ever trip with my newly 16 licensed daughter. Had her driving through the Ozark twisties. Brake in the straight, if you are a little hot going in, she will hold, power out in the last third…. Best week ever!

Had to change out the overdrive solenoid due to failure this summer. About 7500 miles since the tranny install. Still pleased with the swap.
40-75 is consistent. 1:1 drive to the 3:55 axle. 0-60 would require consistent shifts on a truck 4-speed. NP. Not the smoothest shifting transmission but it is tough.
First change in place. Finished headers to 2-1/2 dual pipes. Single muffler with 3 inch single out.
Did a 40-75 punch with original exhaust, 30 second average on two runs.
Same trial, after exhaust upgrade, same conditions, 20 seconds.
I will let this run over the weekend and review thoughts on Monday.
Reminder: Engine upgrades only, fuel delivery will remain carbureted.
Exhaust, cam, heads, intake, carb, block are allowed in your response.
