Just Call Me B
I've been happily married for 38 years to the coolest person I've ever met. We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters and three awesome grandkids. Life is awesome. As a teenager I had two 1973 Plymouth satellites, a 1968 GTO and a 1971 Dodge Charger. I met my wife when I was 19. At that time I was driving a 1962 Chevy II which she took over while finishing her senior year in high school. The Chevy II was traded for a 79 Macho Trans Am for her. And purchased a 1971 Formula Firebird for me. About that time A friend gave me a smoking deal on a very nice 1969 LeMans. A Plymouth Duster with a slant six and a Chevy LUV with a 350 in it also came and went during this time. It all seemed normal at the time but looking back those were pretty cool cars for 19 and 21-year-olds. The Pontiacs were slowly sold off and replaced with a 1986 Dodge Diplomat, a 1967 ChevyII with a 235 and a 3 on the tree and a 1972 Satellite Sebring Plus. The satellite became the baby mobile. You could put a high chair, a stroller, a playpen and all the goodies in the trunk. And I'm pretty sure Jimmy Hoffa was hiding back there as well. The Diplomat was sold and replaced with a 1984 Trans Am. That was the end of our cool cars until about 5 years ago when I bought an opal GT(kind of cool) with 41,000 miles on it from the original owner. It was all family cars and trucks until about 3 months ago when my brother-in-law literally found a 1973 numbers matching RM car behind a garage in Missouri. The car has 61,000 original miles with just enough documentation in the glove box to make me believe that it's true. It has some rust and has had a color change from it's rally red to white with a red stripe. It will be weird working on a car again after all these years. But I think my wife and I are going to dig it. As Joe Walsh said "life's been good to me so far". Thank you for reading. B
