Steering slop to the max… (video included)

The box has more than one adjustment. The little nut and stud on top are the last adjustment made.

    Oh hell...

I hear you knocking. And it sounds like a loose flywheel on the crank to me, being aggravated by an ignition miss. It's not a rod, but a main can sound like that. A nut down the intake port would have bent a valve on its way to beating up a piston by now, so it ain't that. But a borescope down...

    Drum Brakes Grabbing - SOLVED!

Dodge dealer service departments used good factory stuff. Didn't need any grinding. The stuff from the parts stores? Waves, bends and twist to beat the band. Same as the china stuff we get now.

Why is automotive body paint so costly ?

Last month I painted my 93 Dakota that I bought in 93. The 30-year-old 300k mile trashed surface was made good after removing all the clear coat and a lot of the base down to the factory primer and some of it to metal. With sandpaper. I used Viper Red acrylic enamel with a hardener, all from...

    Drum Brakes Grabbing - SOLVED!

It's so nice when it works that way. If it always did there would have been no need for shoe arching machines back in the day. I don't think the quality of the shoes have improved to the point that it's a perfect fit every time. You might be surprised how nice the brakes work when the shoes...

    Best Cordless Impact?

I didn't want to gear up the whole system for more flow. So, I run the 175-psi compressor to a 7-gallon portable tank in line to the tool. Then use a short 3/4 hose to the tool. It's good for a few good hits between charges. A few good 175 psi hits with the 1 inch do a lot of twisting.

    Best Cordless Impact?

I'm a corded Milwaukee man since 1972. But I don't have any battery Milwaukee tools. My only battery tools are Kobalt 3/8, 1/2 impact and a driver. They were given to me. They are good tools and handy as can be. Plenty of power for light work. I take them on the road when I travel. But all this...

    Drum Brakes Grabbing - SOLVED!

Machine the drum, line the drum with sticky back sandpaper, run the shoe around the inside of the drum.
