    Factory Tint?

My '67 has factory tinted glass. I believe that part of the factory air conditioning option.

drip rail trim....... vinyl top vs non-vinyl top

I removed the vinyl from my 67 and painted the roof. The trim was very loose afterwards. I ran some water proof tape along the outside of the drip rail. End of problem.

    Interior door panel removal help

I am not sure what you are working on, but the following technique worked on my '67 and '70: The rear door panel is attached to the body by metal clips that run along the back side of front vertical edge of the door panel. The rear door panel is also held in place across the top and bottom by...

    Amp meter and bulkhead connector

If you were going to run an ammeter, I would recommend having the original refurbished or buying a new one. The original is almost 60 years old. There has been a lot written about original equipment degrading over time and failing. I have solved electrical issues in two different vehicles simply...

Moving with a rusted front frame

Seven hundred miles of the car bouncing on a trailer? I would worry about flexing the inner fenders, possibly the firewall? You could possibly be in a position where once the car is done, the front end guy might have a problem getting the car aligned. You might have issues lining up fenders and...

    door panel

Go to Harbor Freight, get some of these to pop the door panel off. They are plastic, so they won't scratch the door paint.

    To 512 or not

If A12's are awesome and 512's are awesome.... then it would stand to reason that a 512 in an A12 would be even more awesome. Go for it, to hell with any "purist" might think.

This guy went to great lengths to save his A-12 block…

It's actually the engine version of NOT doing a re-body; kind of like a when a complete rust bucket is restored by replacing every rusted out structural frame member and body panel except for the roof. Then you hope that doors, fenders, hood, trunk, bumpers, glass, etc. all line up... AND hope...

This guy went to great lengths to save his A-12 block…

I cannot imagine anyone under any circumstances wanting to put that block back into a car. It "looks" like a good repair job; however, it will never be as good as one of the millions of undamaged blocks that didn't spend 50 years in a mud puddle. I am looking at all those gasket sealing...

    Vinyl top install?

I'll never have another one. I have had rust issues under several of them. All it takes is one tiny spec of rust to grow into a problem. I actually removed the vinyl top from my current '67 and painted the roof.

Any experience with JC Taylor Insurance?

Well, you really don't know how fast his brain can think; and I am not sure how fast your kids can think, but to answer your question... YES. I get to spend time with my son experiencing something that we both love by showing him how to properly drive and respect a manual shift performance car...

Any experience with JC Taylor Insurance?

I currently have Haggerty Insurance. I am looking to change because they want an additional $900.00 per year to allow my 16 year old son to drive my Belvedere and Viper. JC Taylor gave me a better quote. I am looking for any feedback from anyone who may have had a claim with them and the level...
