See if this comes up for you - 1972 Dodge Charger pictures
The side mouldings are kind of ugly and don't usually go back on once they come off, lol. 1972 Dodge Charger
I see V5X in the Stripe box - which is actually the chrome and black protective side moulding, and not an actual stripe. The V7W is for a painted white pin stripe that runs along the body lines on the side of the car somewhere - I am looking for a pic on the web, but not finding anything yet.
Very cool that you have a broadcast sheet for this car! There is a lot more info here than what is on the fender tag. The first couple of rows are some of the main appearance info for the car along with the VIN - paint colors, etc. Lines 3-6 are specific parts that are supposed to be installed...
Alright, that explains a bit then if its an early/possible pilot car from Lynch Road. Lynch Road plants normally don't have a ton of options on the tags in the first place. And Pilot Cars typically don't usually have much for options on them too - just typically engine/trans and body...
RT Daddy - just finding this post. Any Chance your VIN is really early? Like WP29G1A100xxx. Your Scheduled Production Date is 801 - which leads me to believe it is either a really early car (possibly a Pilot car) - which also would explain why there is very little data on the tag - or a very...
Yep, I am at it again. I have a weakness for lost causes - but it is the only way I can afford any type of semi-rare Mopar. This one came to my attention about 3 years ago. Jeremy MacDonald and crew from Shade Tree Vintage Auto and DD Auto & Salvage out of Logan Utah scooped up 17 Mopars and a...
On the topic of the missing fender tag - it will be impossible to recreate an accurate tag even if you have a good accounting of the colors and options that you see on the car currently. There are a couple of things on fender tags that you will not be able to sort out exactly - one being the...
No way to know on any combinations of options (Chrysler didn't track combos other than engine/trans combos). Around 1,146 GTXs came with A/C, but only around 32 came with the power sunroof.
To expand on this a bit - 359 is for a 318 2bbl engine that is going to be mated to the Auto trans, and outfitted with A/C. Double check that Axle code - possible 033? I have 029, 030, and 031 as 8-1/4" axles.
Edit - if it is 330, maybe that is the axle code for a 030 axle with a sure grip unit.
Thanks Kobrak - yes, only around 32 sunroof GTXs were shipped to US Dealerships in 1971. Of those, only around 10 are know to still exist. This one might be a new one to the count. Would love to know what its original colors/interior are, and some of its major options to see if it is one that I...
The usual places are - rear seat back and under rear seat, in the bottom seat springs of the buckets and sometimes behind the hard seat back, under the carpet (usually deteriorated), up inside the headliner (rare), and taped to the upper backside of the glove box insert. Good luck!
Not a buildsheet - but it is something else that gets found in these cars once in a while. A Mopar super expert should be able to tell you what that sheet was. I defer for now.
Scott.
According to the 1977 Wards Automotive Yearbook, around 8% of the 167,618 Cordobas shipped to US Dealerships came with the factory sunroof. That amounts to around 13,400 sunroof Cordobas for 1976.
Bingo. That vehicle order number verifies that the car came with the power sunroof from the factory. If you have a few minutes, check out my site at: www.moparsunroofregistry.com if you would like to know more about that particular option. Thanks!
Scott.
