I am looking to get a speedometer cable made for my 1970 Dodge Charger, with original Rallye gauge cluster (circular gauges and tic-tock tac). Before i pull the gauge and look at the connection, does anyone know if its the nut connection to the gauge or one with clips? I am almost certain that year is the nut connection and there is only one type of nut connection like that, or if its the clip connection, there might be several kinds of clips.

can anyone confirm its the nut connection at the back of the speedometer?

Thanks so much in advance!
J

P.S.....WELCOME to FBBO!!!!!

the plastic end is at the transmission, correct?

Please accept my sincere apologies for trying to help.

maybe i am missing something? Your picture helps, but what i need is not a stock cable. i am converting my speedo sensor at the transmission to a GM style cable connection at the sensor because my Tremec is leaking and i am trying to fix that.

I have a stock cable with a tremec on my 69 which is the same as a 70.

I also currently have that. But its been pretty well documented and known that Tremec uses an inferior and cheap sensor in their transmissions and my fix is using this, double seal and an interior seal to keep the cable crimp from leaking:

Bowler - Tremec T-56 Magnum, TKX & TKO Mechanical Speedometer Adapter

But to fix this, I want to get a speedo cable made to connect from the Mopar speedometer that has a GM end to thread onto this sensor, to fix the leak.

Mine does not leak. I do not have a sensor. What your talking about is old news. That was from years ago and people not installing the seals correctly. Tremec had a service bulletin addressing the issue.
