thisSo a door jam switch is fobarred or grounded out to body ground. Probably why someone "pulled the plug" on the lights.

If this, where would I look to trace and attempt to remedy?this
I’m a real ‘just dangerous enough’ electrical knowledge guy. How would I do this? With the wiring in the trunk unplugged see if any of the wires show to ground.
Found it! When you mentioned door jam, and seconded by @gtx6970, I checked the driver’s rocker panel. I’m convinced one of the longer screws at each end of the panel grounded out the harness. I removed the rocker after your post and there ya go! All lights out yesterday work! As soon I tested it by reconnecting the c-pillar harness in the trunk the same tail/dome/stop fuse blew again. So a door jam switch is fobarred or grounded out to body ground.
