The Roach

Today’s progress. I’m keeping the passenger’s seat out for now for ease of access when it comes time to install the rear seat.

Assuming I wired up the a/c fan relay correctly, everything is done under the hood, other than charging the a/c.

Front & rear windshields will go in soon.

Very clean build. The engine bay looks as if Dodge assembled it on the line. I'm guessing that was the intention, huh?

The whole intention was to make the car look all stock until the hood is popped. I tried my best to make the engine compartment look as clean as possible & I think that I did ok. There's a lot of stuff on the RH inner fenderwell & I wish that the MP wiring harness was a little bit longer so that some of the wiring could have been made a bit tidier.

The car came home on October 11 & I think I've done ok in a little over 5 months. Of course being retired helps, but on average, I've probably put in about 3 hours per day. The only additional help I've needed was having a friend help with installing the front bumper/grill assembly & bleeding the brakes & hydraulic clutch.

Assembling a car as clean as yours MUST be tedious and nerve wracking! The standards are higher and bullshit short cuts will not be acceptable.
I knew a guy that lived in a Tee Pee for awhile....he would buy parts from the junkyard and just install them without cleaning. He obviously is at the OTHER end of the scale!
Nice work. I'll be glad to see it in July.

Wow - that's a bunch of hours. Gives me a high level estimate for my build.

I’ve done this a few times before, so for me, it really isn’t. Having all the parts ready to go in and a garage with a lot of walk around room is key.
No car should ever go back together not being cleaned like new. I've destroyed gloves taking a pig apart. Going back together should be a clean glove free experience. Well done!!
