Those AWB cars were a lot of work to modify just for a little more traction.

Nope, just a model kit of a 330 post car. The die cast is a 65 Plymouth, a Chuck Ostrich Super Stocker.

Now that's a cool wagon!

Thanks. That was more work than converting a normal '65 Coronet kit into an AWB. Of course, this is a fantasy hauler, unlike anything they really had. The deck on the carrier is actually a die cast car trailer. I had to extend L700 tractor frame, and put tandem axles under it..

You did a wonderful job with it.

I make a point of stopping to see Them each year at Carlisle. They're a Great bunch of guys, and love reminiscing about the Glory Days ! Their knowledge is Iconic, so I'm glad to listen to anything they offer. They've also signed a bunch of memorabilia for my "garage art", and I need to get my '63 330 down to show them, as it was built as a "Tribute Car" to Them.
The "Golden Commandos" usually share the Tent there, and They are equally a great opportunity to collect some Historic Info on the Origin's of SS Racing in America !!!
