Considering changing to steel wheels. Which dog dish looks best? Not concerned with them being original year. Car is a 63 Fury.

I'm guessing you'll be stuck with the later wheels that use the smaller caps. That's what I'm using as one of my wheels/tires setups on my 62. I'm currently using 67 Barracuda caps, cause I had them. I've also used the Dodge redline caps.
IMO, any cap you wanna use is okay with me. I'm not one of the poverty cap haters.

There was kind of a Top hat one iirc. Thought that would be fitting for good looks.
If you go with the 70s 80s aluminum vented cop ones.. you'll just look like you grabbed some from the junkyard and don't know anything about old cars

Edit, the last one in post 3 was what I was thinking. Not sure if there's plymouth ones

Bottom line: you'll have to find out if your wheels need 9" or 10" caps before shopping for what you like. Original 63 b-body caps would be ten inch.
(It looks like early A-body caps from 5 on 4 wheels can be used on the later 9"cap 5 on 4 1/2 wheels. They might be a great choice too?)

I'd rather see plain steel wheels than any form of dog dish...and I'd rather see a period-themed mag wheel design more than any steel wheels. But if you're gonna force me to choose, the bottom-right dish with the fratzog would be the best of the worst. :)

The one that looks best is the one YOU think looks best.
Wow, now that's almost brilliant. I'm looking for opinions of other people. Yes, ultimately I make the decision.

wheels available use 9" caps.

No caps for me. Steel wheels were powder coated

My problem with that is I don't want to paint the wheels my body color, too bright. So they will have to be black and with black wheels and black tires I think it would need the caps to set it off. If I did body color I wouldn't worry about using caps.

How about using chrome lug nuts with no dish?

If you have black wheels it's your excuse to never armorall your tires. Gloss black wheels contrast decently with flat black tires.

You can try dishes but if you aren't sure, test them BEFORE you paint your wheels. They'll scratch them up when you test fit them. You can also use a metal flake black for a little bit of depth of color. Another option would be a "factory" argent, or metallic charcoal color. If you paint them yourself use lots of clear coat, for shine and for protection.

I'd use chrome lugs, paint your hubs/grease caps matte black, and let the tires go unshined. I do like dog dishes, but if you're unsure, try without first and see what you think.
