I bought a Summit timing set, and the crank gear has some play when on the crankshaft. just enough movement so you'd notice. Aren't they supposed to be a snug fit?
If so, I was going to replace it. So, for a 505 inch stroker, what brand would you choose Rollmaster, or Cloyes? It's a 3 bolt cam gear, if it matters. Thanks.

I believe they make sets specifically for engines that have been decked to make them tighter. Cloyes is a good brand and their double roller sets are made in the USA.

The gear should be snug. It will be sandwiched between the crank and balancer when the bolt is torqued.
