    Stop in for a drink.

@Scott Engelhardt do you get to Cedar Rapids very often? Dave Johnson at Hy Vee Wine and Spirits on Blairs Ferry Road has always got some great barrel picks. Here's the 2 latest. Both are fricking delicious! The Minor Case is a 6 year which is pretty old for a rye (and it tastes like it). Look...

Everybody wants to put a 340 spec cam in their Teens with nothing to go along with it. The op had a 4 barrel and intake, headers and a 3.55 gear. What's the hold up?

73's have small valve open chamber heads and a mild cam to go with it. The right cam and some nice aluminum heads would be next.

What's it Worth Big block closed chambered iron heads casting # 516

$100 each. Not a bad head but to make them like new takes hundreds of dollars. Even more if you need seats or valves, or new springs for your cam etc.

Favorite and least favorite Halloween candy?

I buy a lot of chocolate in case there are leftovers. There never is though. I bought $85 worth and I will go out for more today because this won't be enough. . We usually get 250+ every year. I don't like the sour candy. The kids don't seem to either. The Snickers bars are the first to go. We...

Flat tappet lifters, wear patterns, cam lobe taper and other things. Let's swap opinions and ideas.

I do think a lot of the new grinds with the agressive ramps probably crap faster and more often. If you grind a cam with an agressive lobe ramp, make it a roller.

Flat tappet lifters, wear patterns, cam lobe taper and other things. Let's swap opinions and ideas.

Bad new lifters and bad lifter bores are the major causes. The lifters have got to spin freely and the lifters must have a crown on the cam end. The cams must have a certain amount of lobe taper as well.

I scored these 1:18 Mopar die cast models today.

Well. The toys are in the same basement store room that most of the whiskey is but it won't free up much space. I'm about at my limit though. I need more shelves before I overload the shelves that are full and the whole works ends up on the floor. Not good if that happens.
