Sorry, I'm late for the game. I got the radiator support conversion piece and a 26" radiator. Plan on installing them next month in my 69 Roadrunner to take care of overheating issues. Does anyone have or know what the part number would be for a fan shroud that would fit the off set radiator...
WTB - Offset 26" fan shroud to fit a 69 Roadrunner. (18" fan) I'm changing out the 22" radiator to a 26" radiator by replacing the right side radiator support. (Conversion Kit). That's why I need it Offset - the left side and fan hole would remain the same but the right side would have about...
I'll have to look at the pump for some numbers, maybe a Chrysler stamp. The car is a 69; but after I got it a couple of years ago I ran the serial # off the engine and it said it was molded in 73. So I don't know if the pump is a 69 or 73. I'm sure it's not a Flowkooler.
dadsbee; I was wrong - just went out and counted and it's a 7 blade fan with curled tips. Well the radiator, shroud, and 7 blade fan that I have; it runs hot. I was thinking my next step would be to get a 26" radiator but didn't know if it would fit my radiator support.
Overheating problems: 69 Roadrunner, originally a 383, now 440, 23" radiator with 6 blade fan (not clutch fan). I've only had the car for about 4 years, did boil the radiator out. I put a fan shroud on it but it didn't help the overheating. Looking at putting a 26" radiator in with shroud...
Well thanks for all your help. When I went to take the photos, I tried it again (a little different) and it worked. The nut is off set; the larger end goes in first and with the help of a screw driver, I pushed the short end in. Again, Thanks!
I have a 22" radiator; and it appears that it is spot welded on the top corners to the support brackets. Even if I pull the radiator, I can't think how to get the factory nuts in place the mount the shroud brackets (brand unknown) (purchased from Mancini Racing).
Thanks pnora! My next question is; I purchased a 3" fan shroud with bracket kit from Mancini Racing. Having trouble figuring out how the bracket nuts are installed.
I installed a FAST msd box (new); couldn't get a spark. I called fast and they ran me trough some tests. Turns out it was a bad box and FAST replaced it. No problems except for being backed up a little on time.
When I got my 69RR a few years back, the wiring block was already melted - but not yet to the point where it wouldn't run. I later replaced the block; but I rerouted the amp gauge wiring away from the block. I bolted the wires from the alt meter together and taped. I've got a set of...
