Here's the story, if anyone can help I'd appreciate it before I put in a new steering box and PS unit.
Machine shop before yanking the 440 for a second build ran the motor HOT, I'm mean super hot. The PS fluid was BOILING.
Now engine back in after build and I've got power steering to the...
Made this video this morning of the complete '73 Charger restoration from start to finish in 9 minutes. Takes a TON of pictures during dis-assembly for reference when re-assembling. Do you have the patience to watch it all the way till the ending credits? Hope you enjoy it.
Dave...
Looking good, thanks for posting. I've done a lot of these 2nd gen B's, just love to do them. If you need anything let me know. I have so many parts I should probably start selling them here.
I do the same thing, tag everything and take a pic of it while disassembling. Have a flat screen in...
You're right. It's been a year since I updated the website since I usually post everything on FB now.
Just updated it, have to refresh your browser probably. Put some pix of this car up there, and also decided I'm getting too old and I'm going to sell some cars, some good to go, some...
Thanks everyone.
For those of you that don't have FB, here's a copy of the text for the album on FB and some pix.
I restored/rebuilt all of the parts myself with the exception of the body and upholstery and vinyl. Hard to believe, but now that the car is finished and is like a "museum piece"...
No room here to post all the pics.
Here's a link to my FB page with the shots.

First off, thanks for everyone's input here. I hate to be so ****, but I am. YES, the car came from the factory with Rallye stripe package on hood, sides and deck lid. I'll keep doing research to find out if deck lid emblems were put on if it had a stripe, that's the question.
If anyone...
I've put the Rallye strip on the lip. Man, I find it hard to believe that Dodge would have put it directly over the stripe. If it didn't have the stripe on there it would be a no brainer like the photos without a stripe. Just doesn't seem right to go over the stripe does it? There's not...
Okay, thanks. I just bought a dealer brochure on Ebay and hope they show the deck of the 73 Rallye to give me some idea. I know they're not staggered because of the deck lid stripe I just put on from Phoenix. My best guess is that they are side by side, on the right lip of the deck lid, with...
I'm 64 and kids are always giving me **** about all my cars and how I restore them all by the numbers.
Screw em. Built a 71 Satellite into a resto mod to show them I CAN think out of the box. 2005 Corvette blue, 440 40 over with 440Source aluminum heads. Called her "GTXtra". Now I'm back to...
Word to the wise and those who have NEVER done this before. DON'T USE TOO MUCH GEL or you will never get it all squeegeed out and you'll spend a long time with a straight pin getting bubbles out. If this could be sprayed (it can't it's too thick) it might work better. Next time I'm using dish...
I'm just completing a full resto on my 73 Rallye Charger and need to know exactly what the placement is of the DODGE and CHARGER emblems on the lip of the deck lid. There are SO many pictures out there one doesn't know if they're correct or not. Some show 1 on the left and 1 on the right...
I first want to tell everyone that my intentions are definitely not to deceive or misrepresent this car. This is not who I am. I'm only relaying what I know about the car and what was told by the previous original owner I bought the car from in 2007. That's why I was asking here what people...
Just had someone out and it's actually 49k miles. He said the front fenders were never off and he knew all the fender tag codes by memory. My kinda guy. Said everything was correct and working.
Well, I guess I am serious and have some offers already, and someone just came out and looked at...
THANK YOU!
Duh....I'm an idiot! All the restoration work I do on my cars, down to the final inspection brush paint on the trans, rear end etc, AND I DON'T know that!!
I'm going to hide now.
Man, when I do a full rotisserie restore on one of my cars I take hundreds of tear down pictures, but I must not have documented this one, nor can I find it in either of the shop manuals. At first I thought it was the fuel sending unit ground strap, but the two holes have plastic sleeves in...
Well, I was someday going to redo this car and my intentions were to paint it plum crazy and just re-do the car from ground up. I can do B body restorations in my sleep just about at this point in my life. Friends kept telling me, are you crazy, this is a true clean unmolested survivor, DON'T...
