I should have said RB engines have a longer Stoke.

My 70 r/t came with a RB engine. I replaced it with a 75 motor home block. I used all the intake and exhaust manifolds no problem. I think all the 440 blocks are the same. The crank is longer Stroke on RB blocks?

I like the clips. They eliminate the need for a helper on the big pieces. You have to leave a little tab on both pieces until you weld or they don’t work for butt welds. They are perfect for lap welds. I started using magnets to hold small pieces in place.

If you are lowering the engine in from the top, We found it easier to put the engine in with no exhaust manifolds on the block and with no transmission in the car.
